I had the pork sandwich, baked beans and fries. I ordered to go and the guy taking my order was... ehhh. Definitely not the friendliest but not terrible. The cook was cool though.
Best beans EVER and I really enjoyed the food.
I'm not from the area so It was very weird to get my to go food in just a box (no bag, condiments, plastic forks, napkin etc).
But at the end of the day it's about the food and I would def recommend. -

Flavor great, portions bad, cook was rude. (Simms location)
I ordered 3 portions of brisket and a half slab of ribs. It was served in one to go container. When I asked why the brisket portion was so small the cook barked out from the window "You ordered 9 ounces, that's 9 ounces."
What I ordered was three orders of brisket. The flavors really are authentic but the grunts running the place don't know much about service and the portions are very very small. This is my 4th time going, I'll call and speak to the owner before going a 5th time. -

The food is 5 stars. It is really really good BBQ. The pulled pork, catfish, brisket, side dishes - all delicious. The customer service however is 1 star. I recommend just ordering take out and picking it up.
Just a generally unhelpful and grumpy vibe from the one employee that seemed to be taking orders/working on a Tuesday evening. Although I will say, a different, very nice and upbeat man delivered the food to our table. It was odd... no straws, lids, or spoons/forks out and available for customers. We asked specifically for a lid (hello toddler) and were told that we could have only have one when we were leaving. Had to hunt down a spoon to eat dessert with. I understand sustainability and being green, but this seems like just being cheap. Why not invest in washable silverware and making it more available to customers? You certainly pay a lot for this BBQ to not have normal utensils and service.
Good customer service and a quality customer experience just seems to not be a priority at this location. Wish we would have realized that before leaving a good tip when we ordered. Will stick with takeout going forward. -

This is 4-star food getting 3-stars because...greed.
Sausage is spectacular. Baked beans are best I've ever had. Mac and cheese obviously homemade. Cornbread was okay. Brisket was dry.
Next time I'll go and just have beans and mac/cheese. Because these people charged me $17 for 3oz of brisket and a half link of sausage.
Seriously, a two meat plate with less than 1/2 pound is just greedy, boys. And note: never order brisket from a "southern" bbq place--they don't know what to do with it. But the baked beans--yes, Lord. -

This place was very close to my hotel, I am a strict Keto Dieter, and I was dead tired, so I gave it a try. (At first though, I was going to a 5 star rated place even closer but they were closed during their normal business hours...) I was concerned by the low rating this place had. 3.5 stars for a BBQ joint is concerning! I ordered 1lb of smoked brisket (brisket and beef ribs are commonly how I judge the quality of the BBQ cook). The brisket was great, no sauce needed at all... Cant comment on beans or sides, etc., other than it'd be nice to have something like green beans (no carb option) as a side ;-) Believe it or not, BBQ is great for losing weight,,, as long as you drop the sauce and the carb or sugar sides. The key is BBQ that stands on it's own without those things. This place hits that mark with it's brisket wonderfully!
